EveryHue Beauty Review

What's up y'all!  I'm super excited to be kicking off the new year here on Crowned In My Curls with a review on EveryHue Beauty's Glow Perfect Tinted Moisturizer, Foundation Brush and Beauty Sponge. I'm grateful EveryHue Beauty was kind enough to send me these amazing products to review. Of course, as always my readers and viewers will be getting a honest review on these products! So let's get into these deets sis!

Let's talk about the Glow Perfect Tinted Moisturizer. I received this product in Hue 8, the color was picked for me by one of the EveryHue Beauty Consultants. When I got the shade, I was unsure if it would be blendable or match me but it was perfect! I think it's amazing how EveryHue Beauty offers Consultants to help you find your match; in addition to that they offer a conversion chart that lets you compare popular makeup brand shades to theirs. They make it super easy to find your perfect hue! What was most intriguing about this product to me was the fact it has vitamin C, vitamin E, hydrating aloe and even SPF 25! These are ingredients I look for when purchasing products, so it's a plus not only is this product providing coverage but beneficial vitamins for my skin. When applying this product, a little goes a long way; A dime size amount is all I need to achieve my desired coverage. You can build a light to fuller coverage with this product. The tinted moisturizer blends with my skin so flawlessly and gives a natural appearance. I just love how lightweight it is and the satin finish it leaves me with.

The Hue Foundation Brush is just as amazing! I really didn't know what to expect using this tool but it exceeded my expectations! It's bomb baby, so good that I want to use this brush for any foundation I apply, lol. The synthetic bristles are so soft and gentle on the skin. The non-traditional style of this brush makes the application of the product so easy and effortless. I love the fact the brush came in a little pouch, so perfect for travel needs.

The Hue Blending Sponge was the last gem I received, which as well exceed my expectations. SO BOMB SIS! It's super soft and feels nice pressing on my skin. I find some beauty sponges can be really stiff and absorb up your products, but this right here is an exception! I'm very impressed with the quality of the sponge. After applying the tinted moisturizer and blending it out with the foundation brush, I reach for the beauty sponge damp. I make sure the product is evenly distributed and evenly worked into my skin using it. This sponge helps finish off my foundation beautifully.

Overall I'm loving EveryHue Beauty products. They are high quality and provide great results. I strongly recommend this brand and I'm looking forward to the items they will release in the future.
Make sure you check out my video above to get a more in depth review and a tutorial of me using these products.

Fenty Beauty First Impressions

It was just a typical night for me, lounging around scrolling through various snapchat stories with hopes I would come across something entertaining. And that I did, when I just so happen to click on Amrezy's snap story and peep she was at Rihanna's Fenty Beauty launch party! As I was living vicariously through Rezy's snaps I was so captivated by all the beautiful pieces Rihanna was releasing and taking mental notes of things I knew I had to have! So of course that Friday morning I got on Sephora and Fenty Beauty and purchased some goodies! Ordering from Sephora was a breeze, I got my Gloss Bomb and Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby within 3 days of making my purchase. It was a kool little incentive to get some free samples when ordering on Sephora, I ended up with a sample of the Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer. I went to my local Sephora to purchase the foundation; there was just to many shades to choose from online. I ordered the Match Stick Trio from Fenty Beauty because I liked how they gave you the option of customizing the trio, unlike Sephora where you only had 4 pre-selected combinations to choose from.

  1.  Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Mean Money/Hu$tla baby - I love that Rihanna created a variety of highlighters when launching this line. In fact there was so many options I was struggling to pick which one I wanted! I was stuck between Trophy Wife and Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby, I opted for the Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby. This highlighter is bomb! It features 2 shades, Mean Money which is a soft champagne sheen and Hu$tla Baby which is a super charged peachy champagne shimmer. I love how this duo gives you the option of having a subtle shimmer or a more intense shimmer depending on your desire. It's very pigmented and applies to the skin smooth. I definitely want to invest in Trophy wife in the near future. If I had to recommend at least one item to pick up from the Fenty Beauty line it would be one of their BOMB highlighters!
  2. Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longer Foundation - Rihanna mentioned her goal with this foundation was for it to appear very skin like and natural. Let me just tell you Rihanna came through and did just that with this gem! The foundation is buildable from light to fuller coverage and is available in 40 different shades!!! I love that she didn't leave any tone out and made sure she had shades that would work for all skin tones. I picked up the shade 300 and it matches perfectly.
  3. Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Starstruck - My first thought when applying this was "It's not creamy what so ever", which is surprising to me because I was expecting a really creamy shimmer stick that glided and blended in with my skin easily. What was more surprising is that regardless of this product not being buttery it's super pigmented! The color pay off makes up for the consistency of the shimmer stick. I'm intrigued to check out the other shimmer skinsticks Rihanna has available as well.
  4. Match Stix Matte Skinstick Mocha - In all honesty this is my first cream contour, so I really can't compare it to anything else. When I was applying it to my skin it was very creamy and super blendable! I was amazed by how the shade infused so well with my skin to create beautiful depth. I want to use this gem every time I do makeup now! I love this match stix.
  5. Match Stix Matte Skinstick Bamboo - I'm not to crazy about this match stix. It doesn't give enough coverage to be used alone as a concealer in my opinion. My dark circles were not as hidden as I would have like them to be. Typically before I apply concealer I color correct my dark circles, so that could also be a reason I didn't achieve my desired amount of coverage. I plan on trying it again in combination with my Becca Cosmetics Under Eye Brightening Corrector, so will see how that works out. Overall I like the consistency of the product, it's creamy and easy to apply.
  6. Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Fenty Glow - shimmering rose nude - My lip gloss be popping literally with this gem!!!! One of my favorite pick-ups from the Fenty Beauty Collection. I love that she made the bottle bigger, holding 0.30 fl oz of product. You won't have to worry about running out of this gloss anytime soon, unlike some other brands that typically give much less product. It's rose nude with a subtle shimmer which I love , its not just a plain gloss, it has a touch of color. It pairs very nice with a brown lip liner.

Overall I'm very satisfied and impressed with the products I selected to purchase. When I initially heard about Rihanna working on a makeup line I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't know what type of products she would be launching, the variety or even when the launch would be actually happening. I was beyond happy when I seen Rihanna gave a variety of items to choose from. I'm really looking forward to seeing the additional products that Fenty Beauty will release in the future. I'm hoping for a few collections that really channel Rihannas personality and edginess. I'm hoping to see eye palettes, blushes, lipsticks, and even a powder bronzer from Fenty Beauty. Guess will just have to wait and see what else Rihanna has in store for us!

Hope you guys found this review informative and helpful! Have you purchased any Fenty Beauty products? Which pieces did you purchase?

Later babes,
